GARLAND, Texas. (October 29, 2018) - According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 5.5 million U.S. veterans are living with a disability; many face everyday challenges such as bathing. This Veterans Day, Expo Home Improvement, a Dallas-based home remodeling company that specializes in baths and replacement windows, is joining an initiative that brings together 10 home improvement companies from across the country on an initiative called Baths for the Brave. This one-day special event is planned for Thursday, Nov. 8, and will provide 10 veterans from across the country, including Yvonne Garrison of Garland, Texas, with a brand-new tub or shower system to help improve the lives of those who sacrificed so much for our country.
Garrison is a retired Air Force nurse veteran who served in the Vietnam war from 1967 to 1969, She was awarded "The Order of the Silver Rose" for her service and volunteer efforts during and after her active duty service.

"No one should have to worry about falling in their own tub or shower, especially our country's heroes, which is why we are setting out to tell the stories and change the lives of veterans throughout the country," Brian Gottlieb, president, and owner of Tundraland Home Improvements and founder of Baths for the Brave said.
Expo Home Improvement believes in and lives out a greater calling to take care of those around you, and owner Paul founded Matthew 6 Ministries with the goal of ending childhood hunger and homelessness in the Dallas area. "We are passionate about giving back to our community, so joining the Baths for the Brave initiative fits right in with who we already are - more than a home improvement company," Paul Dietzler said.
